The PDP’s Nasarawa Governorship Candidate Pledges Free Health Insurance
If elected governor of Nasarawa State in 2023, David Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party has pledged to provide a free health insurance program for the state’s poor residents. During the party’s Sunday campaign in the state’s Nasarawa Local Government Area, Ombugadu made this disclosure.
He said, “Health is wealth, so if I am elected as governor in 2023, I will ensure that residents of the state especially the indigent ones enjoy good health care.
“The widows, orphans and other vulnerable people in the state will be the first to be considered in the health insurance scheme because I understand their challenges.”
In addition, if the PDP candidate won the election, he pledged to build the road connecting the Doma and Nasarawa LGAs with the Federal Capital Territory. Francis Orogu, the chairman of the Nasarawa State PDP, expressed hope for winning the Nasarawa West senatorial seat that had been held by Senator Abdullahi Adamu as well as other state political seats.
When Adamu was chosen to serve as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in March 2022, our source claims that he resigned from his position as the senator for the zone.
Labaran Maku, a former minister of information and the director general of the state’s PDP campaign, also spoke at the event and urged the audience to support all PDP candidates.
Maku also asked Nigerians to support Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential nominee, saying, “He is a detribilised Nigerian, well experienced, tested and trusted in various positions.”
