Rodrygo Says He Deserved Ballon d’Or Award Nomination
Brazilian and Real Madrid forward, Rodrygo says he felt upset and surprised when he discovered that he wasn’t included among the Ballon d’Or nominees for this year.
“I want to win all the titles that I have already won several times”, Fabrizio Romano quoted him as saying in his X post on Monday.
“Real Madrid is the best club in the world and that is what motivates me, to be at the level of the best club in the world every day”.
“That is why I get up every day to train and to be better”.
Rodrygo: “I was upset when I saw they didn’t include me in Ballon d’Or nominees”.
“I think I deserved it. I don’t want to belittle the players who are there, but I think I had a place”.
“It was a surprise… but there is not much I can do, I don’t make decisions”.
Rodrygo’s remarks attracted reactions on X.
Jay @cagiago wrote: “Brother you play 12 games a season and pop up with lucky goals this shouldn’t be a surprise to you”.
NotBroKen @solbrokken responded, “Exactly! You can’t expect a Ballon d’Or nomination when you only show up in flashes. Rodrygo’s got talent, but consistency is key—12 good games and some lucky goals won’t cut it!”
Nasa Tushabe @nasatushabe “Calm down Rodrygo, even Jamal Musiala who is 10 times better than you wasn’t nominated. They were just nominating names that came quick to their heads.”
