Stop Acting like a Dictator, Senior Pastor Adewale Warns Tinubu
The Senior Pastor of Awaiting the Second Coming of Jesus Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa, has asked President Bola Tinubu to stop acting as if the country is under military dictator.
Giwa, lamented that the policies of the present administration have caused pains.
IMAGE NEWS reports that as at the fall of 2023, about 12 percent of the world population in extreme poverty lived in Nigeria, considering the poverty threshold at 1.90 U.S. dollars a day. Within the studied time frame, the share mainly rose. Overall, the number of people living in extreme poverty in Africa was estimated to reach 422 million in 2025.
Worried about the rising cost of living and the attendant mass poverty in the country especially since the removal of fuel subsidy and floating of the naira, the clergyman in a statement issued in Akure, the Ondo state capital, said that
“President Tinubu wants to use two years of his administration to serve his family, friends, and associates while using the remaining two years to serve a few Nigerians.
“I have seen this hardship coming, even before the 2023 presidential election.
Giwa said that “I warned this nation that the present administration would be worse than his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari.
“All I can say is that we need God’s mercy to bring us out of the current doldrums. “This administration is acting as if Nigeria was under military dictatorship. “The body language of the president is remorseless; they don’t feel bad at all in anything they do.
He said that “The politicians in power should know that nothing lasts forever. “I am pleading with them to have mercy on those who have no other means to survive.
“We have never experienced this so badly to the extent that we are now buying petroleum at a rate of N1, 300 per litre.
